  • Our family was so blessed to attend this building when we moved to Dallas. We were warmly welcomed and made life long friends. We enjoyed family activities and most of all, our family was uplifted by the teachings of Christ.

  • Grew up here and have a lot of good memories. I can attribute most of my success to the things I learned here.

  • I LOVE going to church with my family. Each week we are able to attend worship services and hear uplifting messages about the life and mission of our Savior, Jesus Christ. It renews my spirit and energizes me for the new week. I also love the wonderful people I am able to associate with as we meet together to share our thoughts, feelings and experiences as we strive to follow our Savior's example!

The wife wanted to try out churches over a couple months a year or two ago. We went here. The stereotypes are true. They are very friendly. They are also extremely, extremely conservative. In dress, speach, politics, doctrine everything is very rigid and conservative.

Do you remember those family dinners where your grandpa would go on these racist or senile rants and you felt really uncomfortable because what he said was really terrible and kind of out there but you just braced yourself and endured it because he's just too sweet and old to correct? Yeah, that's kinda how this is. ALL THREE HOURS. It sounded like trying to folow some jarbled sci fi novel. Angels and temples and veils and gold plates and different levels of heaven and baptizing dead people and get this being with your family.... FOREVER!! In mormon reality, if you are good, you get to be with your family forever including....your mother-in-law. Does ANYOBDY actually want to be around their mother-in-law FOREVER? I can barely stand a couple days every year! Guess I'll be much more confortable in the lower kingdom of heaven. The lowest kingdom. The hell of heaven. The terrestriali kingdom or something like that.

Dress to impresss folks. Do NOT dress like you would for any other church service because you will look dumb and you will feel dumb. Your kids need to dress to impress too. White shirt, suit and tie even for the little boys. What did you think you would get to wear jeans?? Also, before you go train your kids to sit still through a meeting for adults because....the whole family is together for the main service(no childcare during mainservice).

For anyone wanting a religion-lite this isn't for you. I wanted religion with less god and jesus stuff. More golden rule/social justice type of stuff. This is religion fully leaded. Religion is EVERYTHING to these people. IT's their whole life. Mormonism seems to be less of a church and more of a cultural identity. Hey, I'm not knocking it. Some people need identities but some(me) people already have one.
